Gilded Pods was a first step to re-engage in my practice after a break due to family commitments. It was a small intimate step that reveals my vulnerability.  Paper, a humble material, is elevated by labour and physical endeavour. The fragile open pod forms are bodily, inciting closer inspection.  We are seduced by the rich gold interior that is both brash and furtive.
